Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Valius collects when you use the Exit Hub, why we collect it and the choices you have. The Exit Hub is run by Valius, a trading name of M&A Technology Solutions Limited (company number 17067698, registered office 15 Parsons Court, Welbury Way, Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, DL5 6ZE). We are the data controller for information collected through the hub.
What we collect
We collect the information you provide directly and basic information about how you use the Exit Hub.
- Your name, work email, phone number (if you give it) and account details.
- Information about your business that you choose to share: its name, sector, region, turnover and profit bands, number of employees, ownership and how long you have owned it.
- Your exit goals: timing, reasons for selling, preferred outcome and buyer type, and your plans after a sale.
- Your answers to the quick check and the Exit Readiness Assessment, your valuation inputs and estimates, your action plan progress, and the status and notes you record in the pre-market deal room.
- Details you give when you ask an adviser to call you.
- Basic technical information such as device, browser and pages visited.
How we use it
To run your account and the hub tools, tailor guides and actions to your business, prepare for and respond to a conversation when you ask an adviser to contact you, and, where you have agreed, tell you about relevant Valius services. We also use aggregated, anonymised data to improve the hub.
Our lawful basis
We rely on performing our agreement with you to provide the hub, our legitimate interests in running and improving the service and responding to enquiries, and your consent for optional marketing, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
Trusted service providers who host the hub, send emails and manage our customer records (CRM), each bound by contract to protect your data. We never sell your information.
Confidentiality of your business
Your business details, scores, valuation and deal room notes are private to your account. Nothing about your business is shared with buyers, brokers or anyone else, or published on the Valius marketplace, without your explicit approval. Valius advisers only see your exit profile when you ask us to contact you.
Where it is stored
Your data is stored with our service providers in the UK or EEA, or where it is transferred elsewhere, under safeguards approved by UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is open, then for up to two years afterwards unless the law requires longer. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or move your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
